Questions?
Why should I have my audio mixed/mastered?
Mixing & Mastering is the final step in bringing your recording to its optimum potential. It gives your music the professional commercial quality necessary to compete nationally and globally. No matter what your audio is planned for (radio, CD/cassette duplication, CD-Rom/DVD authoring or publishing to the worldwide web, it must be mastered to take full advantage of the media in which it is to be released.
Why does my project needs fresh ears?
After working on countless songs and albums, mastering engineers develop an acute sense of sonic and musical knowledge that is key to successful mastering. It’s also a huge plus that the mastering engineer wasn‘t there when you recorded and mixed your album. Hearing your songs for the first time, a fresh pair of ears can offer truly objective advice.
How do I know it will sound better?
You always have input into how your project sounds, and we will do everything we can to make your audio project sound incredible. Every project is completed by an experienced mastering engineer. We have been in business for 10 years and specialize in audio mastering, and include a 100% satisfaction guarantee on every CD we master. That is why we do it best.
Why should pay you to master my songs when I have plugins?
Mastering is an art form in itself that requires many years of experience. Our mastering suite has been professionally tuned, stocked with high-end industry-standard analog and digital gear specifically designed to provide you with a master product that cannot be matched by any piece of software or plugin.

How long will it take to master my CD?
Mastering generally takes 2 - 3 days for single songs. It will then be emailed promptly.
I need my project ASAP! Do you offer rush order services?
Yes, we offer rush service when available and approved. Of course an additional fee will apply for all rush orders.
Can I receive a physical master disc/reference disc?
A physical redbook master disc, reference disc and data disc will be included free of charge to all full album project purchases. Less than 8-song mastering submissions will receive .wav and .aiff files online, and made available through digital download. We are always more than happy to send you a physical master and reference disc at any time for an additional fee.
How can you master for such a low price?
Our prices are reflective of our low operating expense and the high volume of projects we receive. And by receiving mastering projects via mail or internet, we can avoid the pitfalls of having to schedule appointments or sessions with the client, allowing us to produce work beyond "ordinary" office hours. This, in turn, means a much lower price to our clients.
So you will work until I am satisfied?
Yes, it's true. We are proud to offer 3 revisions. Once you hear your master, if there are things you want to change about it, simply call or email us with your change requests and we implement those changes and send you another updated master. What type of payments do you accept?
We accept PayPal, checks, and money orders. Or you may pay online with a credit card using our fast and easy online payment option. All personal checks take a minimum of 2 weeks to clear our bank.

Testimonials
Question: What is the Difference between Mixing and Mastering?
Answer: Mixing and mastering are parts of the recording process that confuse a lot of people. If you're recording an album that you plan to sell, a good mixing and mastering job is a must. If you're recording a demo, you might be able to get away without mastering. Here's the difference:
If you're planning on using your recording for a demo, mastering is not an absolute must. Mixing, on the other hand, is something you should make an effort to get done. You don't have to have a professional mix, but you should try to give your songs at least a rough mix when possible. Unlike mastering, you can do mixing at home. It requires practice and time, but you can get the job done with some dedication.
- Mixing - Mixing is basically tinkering with everything you have recorded to complete your songs. You'll do things like drop in effects, adjust the fader, EQ your tracks and so on. Think of mixing as putting the puzzle together. You're putting together the parts of what you have recorded, making sure everything hangs together right, and putting some finishing touches on things. When you're done mixing your songs, you should pleased with the way the song sounds and feel confident that you don't need to add anything musically.
- Mastering - Mastering is adding sparkle and shine to your music. In a very basic sense, when you master your album, you're making sure that song one doesn't blow out the speakers while song two is barely audible - in other words, you want the levels of the songs to be similar and you want a general sense of cohesiveness to your recording.

One of the most common inquiries we get is from producers, engineers, and artists who want to know how WeShopSongs Mastering will work for their track. We know that once you hear firsthand how one of your own tracks sounds after it's been mastered by WeShopSongs Mastering, you'll want the same improvement for all your tracks.
So, if you've listened to our samples and you're still unsure how well WeShopSongs Mastering will work for you, just follow the instructions below to receive a free sample clip of your own track mastered by us. If you have any questions, email usDemo@weshopsongs.com
Email your MP3 or WMA file to us at. If you wish to email your audio file for sample mastering you must convert it to mp3 or wma format, which are much smaller in size than standard CD audio quality files. CD Audio quality files (WAVE or AIFF) are usually between 20Mb and 60Mb in size, while MP3 and WMA audio files are typically only 5Mb to 10Mb in size. The quality may not be quite as high for these samples, but the difference our mastering service provides is clear enough that it will suffice as a good example of the improvement that is possible with WeShopSongs Mastering. You can expect even clearer improvements with the full CD Audio version.
We will master your sample song, select a reasonable clip (about 60 seconds) from the mastered track and send it back to you in the same format as your original. There's no better way for us to show you the kinds of improvements you can expect with our mastering services than to let you hear the difference yourself.

Some songs We have mixed & mastered :)
The Process
For optimal results, please do not process your stereo mixdowns. This would include applying compression, EQ, or limiting to the final mix buss. However, you may add processing to the individual tracks within the mix.
Although its good practice to get a strong signal, don't let the audio clip at all. If your hitting 0db at mixdown, you are pushing the levels too much. Getting your tracks to peak at a maximum of around -3dB gives the mastering engineer headroom to work with your audio.
Avoid any unnecessary sample rate conversions and/or word length reduction unless it is unavoidable and you have professional grade sample rate converters and word length reduction methods.
Please send files in one of the following formats: (AIFF or WAV)
Please do NOT send MP3's or any other compressed audio. We want high quality audio from the start for your music.
